The goal of the client was to sell this portfolio, and assist the buyers in every way through the understanding of the property – as well as aiding them by maintaining the employees. The buyer was looking to grow his portfolio and continue to build his hotel presence on the Oregon Coast. The seller requested to offer the properties at a discounted price to ensure that the deal would go smoothly and he would not be encumbered by counter offers and a lengthy escrow. A variety of challenges came up behind the scenes including, the inability of the buyers to get adequate insurance, the need to remove the branding, and the boundaries and easements on the property. The seller was hesitant at first after some bad experiences with potential buyers, but Brian worked diligently to reach a mutual agreement with the buyer. Both Buyer and Seller were very happy with the outcome and both achieved their primary objectives.
